A Tattoo

Yes, my very very first tattoo, which I've been planning on getting for oh-so-long. Its placed on my left arm. I will also post pictures of my new apartment soon :)

Own apartment

Its been quite a while since last post. But atleast now something has happened!

Last week I went to see an apartment. I live on a rent now and cause of future renovations I don't really want to live in the middle of it all. Also I thought that living in rented apartment again would be kinda useless when rents are quite massive especially near Helsinki center. So I had been searching for an apartment for some time now. But yes, last week I finally did find one. Of course its not yet 100% sure but 95% sure atleast!

Next week I will go and go talk with my bank and the week after that I will go and sign papers for the apartment. But I just have to say, its the most perfect little apartment for me!

And yay, its Big Brother season again! Its been on for about a week now, last sunday I went to the talk show. Big Brother and a new apartment, life just couldn't get any better. All I need anymore is a man and a cat. But those are irrelevant issues!

Animals and ice cream!

Last week one of my friends had his birthday. So last weekend we went to Korkeasaari (a big island that is converted to zoo) to celebrate it! On our way to the raft, I said, "yea we probably should take one student and one elderly folk ticket". When the ticket salesguy came and asked what kind of tickets we wanted, my friend said that. But then the guy was quiet for a while and then asked "do you have students card?" ...

Later on the island I had an ice cream, when suddenly I heard fluttering sound and a big shadow landing on top of me. I turned around and it was a seagull! Trying to snatch my ice cream! I dodged so it couldnt get it and my friend chased it away. Seagull jumped a bit to the side and after that some goose chased it. Must've been rough day for that goose...

This week was a bit odd workwise. It was just three workdays, one day off, and then another workday and weekend. I am still a bit confused about the days. But its been nice weekend this time as well. I saw a friend after long time yesterday. It was great to catch up. Only problem maybe was that I lost my voice! I have been having slight flu and coughing occasionally, so the coughing probably did the trick and I sounded like a young boy hitting puberty. Well, I could speak anyway!

Sunny days, made for running

After mayday its mostly just been hockey hockey hockey. It was a very tasty victory and people were very happy and united cause of it. I suppose the hockey fever still hasn't passed but yeah, its been 16 years since last victory.

Last week I started to go to thai boxing practices again. Its been very nice to go there after long time and today I went running to Naisten Kymppi (10 km "womens marathon") which also went much better than I suspected. Sunny day just made it perfect.

Just about one and a half months and its time for summer holiday. This spring has gone so well that I can hardly wait what summer brings along! :)

And yes, PSN is back on!

Mayday and other nonsense

Still haven't gone to practice. Its been over a month now. But good news is that my ankle is getting better day by day. Maybe in next week I dare to go. Also hockey games now so its not really that big deal to skip practice.. ;)

And there was mayday and mayday was fun. At 10 am my friends came over and we had some baconsausages and beer cake along with some mead (self-made of course) for breakfast. Yes beer too. After that we went to a park where there were lots of students and non-students (like me). I knew quite a few of them and had been spending almost every mayday there since living in South Finland. Then we went to help my friend with moving. Since there were so many of us, the whole thing was over in 2 hours and she treated us with pizza and beer. Also then I accidentally swallowed my tongue piercing (yea just the ball) while eating... But luckily I had spare ones at home.

Weather has been pretty cold now in Finland. Not even reaching +10c, compared to the ~+17c we had earlier, its been really really chilly. Though on next week it should go as high as over +20c! Beach season, here we come!

Winter holiday

And so it is my winter holiday from work, finally. Work starts again on the 27th day so plenty of time to rest. Speaking of which, is very needed right now.

My ankle had been sore for about three weeks. First week it was sore a bit, then eventually it was so bad I could barely put any weight on it. Two weeks passed and I was limping around, hoping its just stressed out from practice. Also I was very frustrated I hadn't been able to go to practice due that. So finally yesterday I decided to go to doctor. After 4 hours of waiting and different exams, they found the reason in ultrasound. My ankle had a small fracture. Surprising I had even been able to walk around. I was supposed to go visit my family in East Finland as well, but because of the ankle, I decided its better to rest for now and go there on thursday. Well, I have been playing Playstation, and damn it really feels like vacation!

One year

Ha, didn't even realize but its been one year (and two days) since I started my blog. And no, this is not April fools. In fact I didn't get even fooled today, which usually is quite easy to accomplish. It probably has something to do with the fact that I was very busy at work.
